  2. AutoBleed Lite 2.1 Plug-In Filter for Adobe Photoshop 3.0/4.0 (Macintosh)
  3. Automated bleed for high quality artists, and production artists.  Most useful in prepress application.

  5. Improves the quality of clipping paths, helps to trap to Photoshop images, and automatically adds
  6. bleed to Photoshop images for die cut work.
  7. With Autobleed, you can extend the border of your image, then your clipping path is sure to be without
  8. white edges or matting.
  9. You can extend the border of your CT image, import it into another application, and make an overprinting 
  10. stroke to trap to it.
  11. You can extend the border of your Photoshop image to allow for die cut error, (bleed).

  15. Bleed is usually called for when a printer is printing off the page,
  16. so when the piece is cut, there is room for error.

  26. To use the AutoBleed Lite Plug-in filter, Drag it to your Plug-Ins folder inside 
  27. the Adobe Photoshop ƒolder.  Photoshop must be re-launched to recognize the filter.

  30. How to Use AutoBleed Lite
  31. ------------------------

  33. •First, select the area to be modified, and inverse the selection.
  34. •Select Filter >Noise > AutoBleed 
  35. •In the Sample Size box, enter the amount of image area inside the selection that 
  36.    you would like to repeat outside the selection.  This is important for obtaining the
  37.    best results.  The light version is limited in size to 5 pixels.
  38. •In the Bleed Size box, enter the amount of bleed you would like added to your image
  39.   this is also limited to 5 pixels in the lite version.
  40. •Select  The type of bleed you want:
  41.                 A. Clone• The clone bleed will copy the sample amount of pixels inside the selection, and 
  42.                         paste them outside the selection. (disabled in the lite version)
  43.                 B. Mirror• This option works in most situations, it mirrors the pixels inside the 
  44.                         selection to the outside of the selection.
  45.                 C. Bleed Corners • Fills in the corners of a rectangular selection.
  46. •Now press OK and your image will expand the bleed amount.

  49. Will allow you to create bleeds of any size up to 500 pixels.
  50. Will enable the Clone bleed which can prove useful in some situations.
